Kevin Carlyon - Director
Kevin's career began in sales and marketing in the engineering and pharmaceutical sectors before discovering audiology in 1994. Travelling throughout the UK supplying hearing test equipment to industry, hospitals and private clinics soon developed into a lifelong passion for helping people to hear better.
After two decades of working across all areas of the hearing care profession, Kevin established Plymouth Hearing Centre in 2015 (now Plymouth Hearing Care). Since then he has helped thousands of people across Plymouth and the surrounding area, building trusted relationships through honest advice, personalised care and ongoing support.
Away from work, Kevin enjoys year-round sea swimming, fishing, working on his boat, keeping fit & travelling with his wife Betina. A lifelong supporter of Liverpool FC, he attended his first match aged 6.

We are privately owned, completely independent hearing care business that specialises in the latest hearing aids and ear wax removal.
Our main clinic is now based at Erme House, Station Road, Plympton with a support clinic at Royal William Yard, Plymouth.
Kevin Carlyon, our company audiologist, has extensive experience in the UK hearing aid industry and he has worked for hearing aid manufacturers, hearing and balance testing equipment manufacturers, international tinnitus companies and within the NHS.
Kevin and his team have a strong reputation locally, for being knowledgeable, honest and very focussed on the needs of the client.

Kevin & Helen we have more than 30 years combined experience in the hearing care sector.
Kevin Carlyon RHAD, MSHAA
Kevin Carlyon RHAD, MSHAA is the business owner and Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser. Kevin is also a member of the British Academy of Audiology and the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists.
Kevin has a rounded international background in audiology having worked within the NHS and for leading hearing aid manufacturers over the last 25 years.
He has presented to hospitals, schools, at multiple conferences and has worked as an advisor to a number of companies in the UK, Europe and the US.,
Kevin qualified at Aston University – School of Life Sciences and completed his clinical placement at Great Western Hospital, Swindon
Kevin is originally from Liverpool but grew up in the South West. He spent most of his working career in the South East before returning to Plymouth in 2005. Kevin lives in Peverell, Plymouth and enjoys tinkering with his fishing boat, travelling, playing football and following Liverpool FC. He is married to Betina, an Occupational Therapist who specialises in stroke rehabilitation.
