About Us
Kevin Carlyon - Audiologist
Kevin's career began in sales and marketing in the engineering and pharmaceutical sectors before discovering audiology in 1994. Travelling throughout the UK supplying hearing test equipment to industry, hospitals and private clinics soon developed into a lifelong passion for helping people to hear better.
After two decades of working across all areas of the hearing care profession: including holding senior management roles with a leading hearing aid manufacturer and US tinnitus device company, Kevin established Plymouth Hearing Centre in 2015 (now Plymouth Hearing Care). Since then he has helped thousands of people across Plymouth and the surrounding area, building trusted relationships through honest advice, personalised care and ongoing support.
Away from work, Kevin enjoys year-round sea swimming, sea fishing, working on his boat, keeping fit & travelling with his wife Betina. A lifelong supporter of Liverpool FC, he attended his first match aged 6.
Yasmin Green
Yasmin BSc (Hons) is our Student Hearing Aid Dispenser and has successfully completed her first year of professional training. With a background in healthcare and customer service, alongside a Bachelor of Science degree, she is passionate about helping people and providing excellent patient care.
Outside of work, Yasmin enjoys travelling with her partner, taking part in adventurous activities, and exploring new walking routes with her Cocker Spaniel, Otis. Her most adventurous experience to date was completing a skydive, which she describes as both exciting and unforgettable. Yasmin enjoys meeting new people and is committed to ensuring every patient feels comfortable and supported throughout their hearing care journey.
Helen Sargent
Helen is a registered general nurse with significant ENT nursing experience gained at Derriford Hospital. Helen has completed the Rotherham Ear Care Course
Helen runs a specialist ear wax removal clinic for us, handling highly complex ears.
Helen is unable to offer nursing advice during her clinics

Kevin is regulated by the HCPC & his registration can be checked on their professional register. Kevin hold’s additional professional memberships to maintain his education in audiology.
